1. Introduction

Welcome to Jan Suvidha Kendra (“JSK”, the “Platform”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, applications, and all associated services. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Definitions

Platform: The Jan Suvidha Kendra website, web application, and all associated services including the operator dashboard, customer portal, and admin panel.

User/You: Any person who accesses, registers, or uses the Platform including customers, operators, and administrators.

Operator/Center: A registered Jan Suvidha Kendra (JSK) center authorized to provide digital services to citizens.

Customer: An individual who uses the Platform to upload documents or access services through a JSK center.

Services: Government-to-Citizen (G2C) and Business-to-Citizen (B2C) digital services offered through the Platform.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years of age or have parental/guardian consent
  • You must provide a valid email address and mobile number
  • Operators must have valid authorization documents to run a JSK center
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Indian citizens or residents with valid identification

4. Account Registration & Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to:

  • • Create a strong, unique password with at least 6 characters
  • • Not share your login credentials, center code, or center password with unauthorized persons
  • • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
  • • Keep your registered email and mobile number up to date
  • • Accept responsibility for all activities conducted under your account
  • • Complete the center verification process within 7 days of registration

5. Operator Responsibilities

As a JSK center operator, you agree to:

  • • Provide accurate center information (shop name, address, pin code)
  • • Handle customer documents with utmost confidentiality and care
  • • Delete customer documents after the specified retention period (4 hours for printing, 24 hours for storage)
  • • Not misuse, copy, or distribute customer documents for any unauthorized purpose
  • • Maintain proper records of all transactions and services provided
  • • Display the JSK center code and QR code prominently at the center
  • • Comply with all applicable government regulations and guidelines

6. Customer Document Upload Policy

When uploading documents through the Platform:

  • • Documents uploaded for “Printing” purpose are auto-deleted after 4 hours
  • • Documents uploaded for “Storage” purpose are auto-deleted after 24 hours
  • • Maximum file sizes and supported formats are displayed at time of upload
  • • You must provide accurate name and mobile number when uploading
  • • You confirm you have the right to upload the documents
  • • JSK is not responsible for documents uploaded to the wrong center

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to:

  • • Violate any applicable Indian laws or regulations
  • • Upload illegal, obscene, or harmful content
  • • Engage in fraudulent or deceptive practices
  • • Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
  • • Harass, threaten, or harm other users
  • • Use the Platform for money laundering or terrorism financing
  • • Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Platform without authorization
  • • Impersonate any person or entity

8. Services & Limitations

Jan Suvidha Kendra provides a technology platform for service access. We:

  • ✓ Provide secure access to registered G2C and B2C services
  • ✓ Maintain platform availability to the best of our ability
  • ✓ Enable secure document upload and management
  • ✗ Do NOT guarantee error-free or uninterrupted service
  • ✗ Are NOT liable for third-party service failures
  • ✗ Do NOT provide government services directly — we facilitate access

9. Fees & Payments

Service charges may apply for certain services offered through JSK centers. Fees are set by individual operators and government fee schedules. JSK does not charge customers directly for document uploads. Operators may charge service fees as disclosed at the time of service. All government service fees are as per official government rate cards.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, logos, trademarks, designs, software, and code on the Platform are the property of Jan Suvidha Kendra or its licensors. You agree not to reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission. The “जK” logo and “Jan Suvidha Kendra” branding are proprietary marks.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY INDIAN LAW:

  • • The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind
  • • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • • Our total liability shall not exceed ₹1,000 or the amount paid by you, whichever is less
  • • We are not responsible for data loss due to network failures or force majeure events

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jan Suvidha Kendra, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or upon request from law enforcement. Upon termination, your license to use the Platform ceases immediately. You may request account deletion by contacting us.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through mediation. If mediation fails, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India. The arbitration shall be conducted in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Significant changes will be notified via email to registered users.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its amendments. The courts of competent jurisdiction in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
